Viral Hepatitis Congress 2012

7 – 9 September 2012 The Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt Germany

With many new breakthroughs and an increasing array of treatment options, this is an exciting time for healthcare professionals involved in the management of viral hepatitis.

However, as we are entering a particularly remarkable era of innovation, keeping up with, and interpreting, this new information can seem like a daunting prospect. The aim of our educational congress is to provide a concise update over two days on all the new advances in viral hepatitis in an interesting, meaningful way. There will be a particular focus on providing practical guidance on what the new scientific developments mean for the present and future management of our daily clinical practice.

Interaction between the audience and experts will be encouraged throughout the meeting through Q&A sessions, roundtable discussions and point-counterpoint debates.

8th International Workshop on HIV & Hepatitis Co-infection

We are proud to announce the 8th International Workshop on HIV & Hepatitis Co-infection, to be held on 30 May - 1 June 2012 at the Melià Castilla Hotel in Madrid, Spain.

This annual workshop is the leading medical gathering for those involved in the clinical care of co-infected individuals. The program provides an excellent platform to exchange the medical information and new treatment results, and to discuss them with the experts active in the different disciplines (including Virology, Hepatology, Immunology, Infectious Disease and Primary Care).

The edition of 2012 will continue to focus on developments in basic science, emerging therapies and clinical management. It will emphasize translational research and best practices in the clinical management of Hepatitis and HIV co-infection.

The informal format of the workshop will include plenary expert presentations, controversy discussion sessions on areas currently lacking consensus, and abstract-driven presentations. Experts in the field will be invited to give state-of-the-art lectures and controversial cases which will be discussed by expert panels. The target audience consists of clinicians caring for co-infected patients and scientists.

AGAIN IN 2012: After its tremendous success in previous years, this year's edition will again be featuring the Pre- workshop clinical course for practicing physicians. This clinically oriented course will provide a comprehensive update of current topics fundamental to the optimal care of co-infected patients. It will be held Wednesday morning preceding the workshop opening.
