The Monroe J. Hirsch Research Symposium, co-sponsored by our Academy’s Research Committee and the Low Vision Section, “Not Your Grandmother’s Macular Degeneration: Current Issues in AMD,” will focus on age-related macular degeneration and changes in our related knowledge over the last 15 years, improving our knowledge of etiology, genetics, and treatments for AMD.
