14th Annual National Center for Responsible Gaming Conference on Gambling and Addiction

September 22-24, 2013 Las Vegas, Nevada

For more than a decade, the NCRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction has provided a unique forum where all stakeholders in the field of gambling disorders and responsible gaming come together to discuss the latest research, share best practices and explore real-world applications for new scientific findings.

Changes in health care policies and mental health diagnostic codes are driving a larger conversation of what recovery and prevention should include for those with addictive disorders. From the Affordable Care Act to the American Psychiatric Association's DSM-5, these changes impact how researchers study gambling disorders, how the industry builds responsible gaming programs to educate their patrons and how clinicians relate to their clients.

The 14th annual NCRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction will bridge the gap between these key stakeholders and the public about what these changes in the mental health space mean for communities. National leaders in public health, the gaming industry and academia will examine these issues by discussing the latest and most relevant research and news key topics, including:

■ How the Affordable Care Act and DSM-5 will impact treatment options

■ The effectiveness of evidence-based self-help recovery resources

■ Neurobiology of gambling disorders

■ The efficacy of responsible gaming programs - both in person and online.

This three-day conference is designed to enhance your professional development, whether you’re in the health care sector, the gaming industry, government or academia, by providing the following:

■ The latest information on treatment for gambling disorders

■ Continuing education units for clinicians

■ Ideas for building and enhancing responsible gaming programs

■ Opportunities for researchers to present their work in the annual poster session

■ A critical perspective that will help gaming regulators and public officials develop and evaluate policies that address gambling disorders

■ Interactive pre-conference workshops

1st Annual International Conference on Neuroscience and Neurobiology Research (CNN 2013)

November 18-19, 2013 Bangkok, Thailand

Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system development, its structure, and its purpose. It also discusses what occurs when individuals have neurological, psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders. Traditionally a branch of Biology, it is now considered an interdisciplinary science which includes other fields such as mathematics, linguistics, engineering, computer science, chemistry, philosophy, psychology, and medicine. On the other hand, neurobiology is a complex science referring specifically to the biology of the nervous system.

The Annual International Conference on Neuroscience and Neurobiology Research (CNN) aims to explore the study of the nervous system and the different aspects of the nervous system. Through networking and sharing, CNN will provide an opportunity for practitioners and educators to exchange research evidence, models of best practice and innovative ideas on neuroscience and neurobiology.
