National Association of Drug Court Professionals 18th Annual Training Conference

NADCP has established itself as the premier training organization for Drug Courts and other Problem-Solving Courts. For over seventeen years, NADCP has been providing comprehensive national training conferences to advance the Drug Court field including cutting edge training on Adult and Juvenile Drug Courts; Family Dependency Treatment Courts; Veterans Treatment Courts; DWI Courts; Mental Health Courts; Federal Reentry Courts; Reentry Courts; and Tribal Healing to Wellness Courts.

The NADCP Annual Training Conference is the largest in the nation to address issues of substance abuse, mental health, child neglect and abuse, and criminality. It draws approximately 3,500 Drug Court and other Problem-Solving court professionals from the U.S. and abroad, high profile national figures, as well as over 70 exhibitors, which include leading corporate innovators serving the field of criminal justice and treatment.

Practitioners learn of and evaluate the effectiveness of the latest treatment models, examine the legal issues that impact practitioners and their clients, and look at the impact of political trends as they affect the movement. Training is conducted through a combination of educational lectures, general sessions featuring prominent—and often times nationally-known—experts from government, academia or the field, and principally through a series of interactive workshop sessions broken down into practitioner-oriented tracks of six workshops each. Sessions are generally interactive in orientation to encourage practitioners to learn from each others’ experiences.

The NADCP 18th Annual Training Conference, May 30 - June 2, 2012, in Nashville, TN will provide skills building training for experienced practitioners; be a showcase for best-practice models; a springboard for more responsive public policy; and a catalyst for local, national, and international collaborations.
