The conference will be a four-day, multi-track event that will cover a wide range of brain injury topics.  This year's topics include Effort, Exaggeration, and Malingering after Concussion; Process and Outcome of Holistic Neuropsychological Rehabiliation; State of Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Summit Update;  Episodic Dyscontrol; Resilence Post-TBI;  Affect Related Disorders Post–TBI; Pediatric Neuropsychology; Post-traumatic Headache; DVBIC Research; Models for Family Therapy Post-TBI; MTBI and Suicidal Ideation; Neurotherapy; New Developments in Understanding the Mechanism of Blast Related TBI; Trancranial Magnetic Stimulation; Clinical Practice Guidelines on Disorders of Consciousness; NIDRR Update; Sleep and Brain Injury; NASHIA and State issues in Brain Injury Services; Advanced Therapies Capitalizing on Neuroplasticity; Cultural Issues in BI Rehabilitation; Acute and Long Term Clinical Issues in Disorders of Consciousness; and Aging, Functional Decline, and Assistance.  Episodic Dyscontrol, Resilence Post-TBI, Affect Related Disorders Post-TBI, Post-traumatic Headache, Clinical Practice Guidelines on Disorders of Consciousness, NIDRR Update, mTBI and Suicidal Ideation, Trancranial Magnetic Stimulation, NASHIA and State Issues in Brain Injury Services, and Brain Injury as a Chronic Disease.   Additionally at the meeting, there will be Panel discussions on Neuro Imaging and Healthcare Reform.

Prior to the start of the general meeting, there will be a pre-conference on NeuroImaging.

After ten very successful conferences held in France (2003), Singapore (2004), Canada (2005), Northern Ireland (2006), Japan (2007), USA (2008), France (2009), Korea (2010), Canada (2011) and Italy (2012), the 11th International Conference on Smart homes and health Telematics will be hosted for the second time in Singapore, from 19 to 21 June 2013.

Singapore, which already hosted ICOST in 2004, is fast becoming an international hub in ICT for health. ICOST 2013 will involve key experts from more than 15 countries worldwide.

ICOST is considered as a premier venue for the presentation and discussion of research in the design, development, deployment and evaluation of Smart Environments, Assistive Technologies and Health Telematics systems. ICOST brings together stakeholders from clinical, academic and industrial perspectives and along with end users and their family carers explore how Smart Homes and Health Telematics can foster independent living and offer an enhanced quality of life. ICOST 2013 invites participants to present and discuss their experiences in the design, development, deployment and evaluation that demonstrate significant contributions in the areas of smart homes, health telematics and assistive technologies. ICOST 2013 will provide a dynamic program which will incorporate a range of technical, clinical and industrial related keynote speakers, oral and poster presentations along with demonstrations and technical exhibits.
