Call for Papers for a Special Issue of Ophthalmic Epidemiology: VISION 2020
VISION 2020 is the global initiative to eliminate avoidable blindness by the year 2020, launched in 1999 jointly by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).
Fourteen years have passed since the launch and the target date of 2020 is just 6-7 years down the road, so it is timely to revisit what has been achieved, what the remaining challenges are, and the evidence needed to help guide practices, programs and policies.
To facilitate communication among partners of this initiative, Ophthalmic Epidemiology will dedicate a special issue to articles related to VISION 2020.
We invite authors to submit articles for consideration in this special issue of Ophthalmic Epidemiology, planned for print in mid-2015.
All submitted articles are subject to the peer-review process as usual, and only articles that pass peer-review will be accepted for publication.
Authors should follow the Instructions for Authors regarding the manuscript format requested by Ophthalmic Epidemiology, as described on the journal website at http://informahealthcare.com/page/ope/Description#Instructions
Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their manuscript through the ScholarOne Manuscripts submission website at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/nope
