Call for Abstracts: Markers in Cancer 2012

October 11-13, 2012 Holywood, Florida

Deadline for submission: June 19, 2012, by 11:59 PM (EDT)

Abstracts must be submitted online using the official Markers in Cancer 2012 Abstract Submitter. E-mails and word processing files submitted outside this program will not be accepted. Each First Author will receive an e-mail to verify the abstract has been received.

Markers in Cancer 2012 (formerly known as the ASCO-NCI-EORTC Annual Meeting on Molecular Markers in Cancer) will stimulate discussion on the use of biomarkers as a tool for optimizing detection and treatment in oncology.

Designed for clinicians, pathologists, clinical and translational researchers, statisticians, radiologists, and others who specialize in molecular diagnostics, the meeting will present the latest advances in cancer markers to assess drug efficacy, improve prognostic and predictive evaluations and imaging, and enhance clinical trial development.

This year's Meeting will focus on practice-oriented translational research. Join us in Florida to review and explore the latest innovations in cancer markers.

Authors must select one topic category that best fits the subject of their abstract. The Markers in Cancer Scientific Committee reserves the right to recategorize an abstract.

Call for Abstracts: 2nd International Scientific Tendinopathy Symposium (ISTS 2012)

September 27-29, 2012 Vancouver BC, Canada

The 2nd International Scientific Tendinopathy Symposium will bring together international leaders in tendinopathy research and clinical practice. Building on successes from the 1st meeting in Umea 2010, the ISTS 2012 aims to:

• Provide a forum for the latest clinical and basic research on tendinopathy.
• Foster the development of international partnerships for research and treatment.
• Host a weekend workshop (led by Bill Vicenzino and Jill Cook) on comprehensive physical therapy treatment for upper and lower extremity tendinopathies.

We invite you to submit abstracts and posters relevant to:

1. Basic tendon biology and pathology
2. Clinical studies (rehabilitation, medical, radiological)

Submission deadline: June 7, 2012

Call for Papers: MICCAI Workshop on Clinical Image-Based Procedures: From Planning to Intervention

CLIP 2012 October 5th, 2012, Nice, France

Submissions due June 8th

Scope

There has been considerable interest over the last years in the development and evaluation of new translational techniques for clinical image-based planning and interventions at the cutting edge of modern procedures in the hospital. This workshop aims to fill the gap between basic science and clinical applications by focusing on the clinical translations of state-of-the-art methods with a special emphasis on image-based planning and interventions.

Workshop Topics

--Challenges and emerging techniques in image-based procedures
--Clinical translation of image-based techniques for planning and intervention
--Error analysis in image-based procedures
--Navigation and tracking: tool tracking, organ tracking, and tumor tracking
--Computational anatomy and image analysis: modeling, segmentation, simulation
--Personalization of patient models to support interventions
--Inter- and intra-modality registration
--Visualization for operation planning
--Multimodal image-based planning and guidance
--Clinical applications in open and minimally invasive surgery
--Clinical validation of image-guided systems
